GLOBAL WARMING SIGNS

When I came back here in Davao City 24 years ago after 18 years of living in Metro Manila :

The air was very fresh,  cruising along Diversion Road was like going to Baguio.

When it is LOW TIDE, nothing can be seen in the drainage system.

When it is HIGH TIDE,  around 5 to 6 inches of sea water is visible.

There is no flooding at all during heavy rains.

Starting 2008, when signs of degradation were spreading the flooding started :

During LOW TIDE, the drainage is already with 12 inches water.

When HIGH TIDE COMES,  The sea water is at street level or 4 inches below street level

When the rains come during LOW TIDE,  the newly improved drainage system works fine, and
in extended duration, the floodwaters recede faster.

Disaster strikes when rains strike during HIGH TIDE, as the drainage system have no use at all.

I guess this is true in all coastal cities around the world.
